Last weekend, we put the SVT valve covers on and some how we got the winndshield washer disconnected- did we damage something under the cowl panel we moved to get the valve covers in or what?

The hose gets very hard the older the car gets, you migh have broke it. I did the same thing when i changed out the wiper motor in my firebird, the lines were so brittle they just snapped when there was any type of bending to them.

Might have pinched it too when you moved the cowl panel.
