tint laws are useful in my opinion just to stop someone, make sure "your not up to no good" most cops I know will let you go if act nice and aren't a jerk. In this case I don't know how he acted but threathening someone with jail for some thing so small makes you have to ask if cops don't have something better to do... either way I wouldn't want to live there/

Just an update on this whole situation:
On Sat. I was out again and happen to park across a local station with a couple of squad cars sitting outside. It looked like the cops that were out there could have cared less about my car or I.
Today I ended up driving next to a sheriff for more than 10 miles, it looked like he was just doing regular patrolling. Again, nothing. Both times i had my windows up, sunroof panel closed so it was as dark as it was gonna get.
Just goes to show how some areas are more strict than others...
And I've decided to keep the tint how it is. I know I'm taking a risk but I don't think I could go back to clear windows
