Window regulator

I was wondering if the gen1 front driver window regulator is the same for a Gen 2 my Gen 2 window regulator is bad and wondering if I can use a Gen 1 to fix it

No, they are different. Beyond that, the regulators are wear parts. Why put a worn out one in that will just fail in a year or less?

Just wondering because gen1 are easier 5o come by and alot cheaper

It'll get worse. All four of mine failed within about a year of each other. If you have one going bad, plan on doing the rest in short order. If you want to wait until they fail hard, I think it was Bigrig who recommends carrying some of those little round suction cups in the car so when the regulator fails and drop the window you can at least put it back up until you can fix it.
