Hey guys,
My passenger side window has dropped into the door. I did a search to see if anyone else has had similiar problems without much luck. I need to get the door panel off and it doesn't want to budge- anyone have some hints or pics on how to do this with breaking anything?

Thanks for any help!!

Sounds like your window regulator went out. It is a common issue on the LS - it has happened to almost all of us. You will need a replacement window regulator which you can order from Max at Five Star Ford with an LvC discount.

I know I have seen a thread on this site with pictures and step-by-step instructions on replacing the regulators. Doing it yourself should save you $100+ over the dealer and should only take you 30 minutes. Just hit up the search feature and you should find it. Good luck!

Hey thanks, man. I did actually find that after I posted. it is for an '01 however- is there any difference between the '01 and the '03? I cant seem to get the molding off from around the door latch. The guy who put that thread together did an awesome job but I am afraid if I pry any harder I will bust the damn thing.

I just upgraded my door speakers on my 04.
The door panels are slightly different.
Don't try and pry off the wood trim or bezels around the handle.
There's a little plastic flap where the handle part of the door is.
It hinges so pop it open with a small straight screwdriver.
Underneath you'll find 2 philips screws.
Now you should be able to take the panel off.

Hey 2003v8sport, did you notice anything before your window fell? Like it not closing all the way or taking for ever to go up?

I had to replace my driver side door window regulator and that's what was happening before hand.

I had that happen to me one time and it was a piece of plastic that broke off the window regulator. The guy that fixed it for me just melted it back together and has been fine ever since.

Cool thanks- I would just like to get the panel off. The car has been parked in the garage for a couple of days now as I have still not been able to damn thing off. I removed all the screws from the bottom and the side- and from under the flap thingy behind the door handle. It still wont budge...

I never heard a sound before it hapened. I just rolled down the window with my keyless to let the heat out (as it's black and friggin' hot) and the window never came back up again.

I appraciate everyone's help. I will take another look at the genII diagram this evening and see if I can find what is holding it on.

All that holds it now is press clips.
They look like the ones on this sail panel in the pic.
This was from when I took my back interior apart to put in my sub box.
You just have to pull harder or use a flat screwdriver to start prying it off.
If some of the clips stay with the door you can pull them out and put them back on the door panel.
