Does anyone else get a fair bit of wind noise at highway speeds (say >= 75mph)?
Seems to be coming from the rear windows and the weather striping seems alright.

What year is your LS?

Gen II cars are notably quieter than Gen I cars, all in part, due to the 500 improvements in 2003.

Unless its super loud, just consider the fact you are going 75 MPH. No car or at least not to many will be dead quiet. You'll hear some noise but I cant say for sure cause I dont know how loud it really is, you know what I mean?

Not terribly loud, enough so that I have to turn up the radio a little. It was quite a bit louder before, but part of the weather striping on the rear driver-side door had come loose. Tucking it back in fixed improved it a lot.

Ah, I see.

just keep checking the weather stripping on the doors. I doubt it would be the rear windshield. Other then that, like I said at 75 its not going to be totally quiet.

I like my LSes, (what is the plural of LS?) but many cars in it's price range (when it was new) are quieter.

Which is weird. THe LS has like 3 different layers of weatherstripping.

I use a product by Einszett called Gummi Pfledge. It's a rubber seal care product. If those seals start to dry out/lose their elasticity, that can contribute to louder road noise as well.

My weatherseals are as soft as a brand new car's.

That's the possessive, not the plural, there's a big difference.

+1.

I've always typed LSes.

I mean, it's actually Luxury Sports. But "Es" (from El Es (LS spelled phonetically)) would need the "es" suffix when spoken.

Right?

I had the same thing back in March. Couldn't figure out for the life of me what was going on. Checked the weather stripping and everything was find there. Here's what I discovered, check your window and make sure it's going up all the way. When I would go to the car wash, water would get in the car when I would spray that side which was on the passenger front door.I found out that my window wasn't going up all the way which was a sign that the regulator was going out. Sure enough, it went out while I was home visiting in MS. It happened about two days before I had to drive back to the VA. Got the new regulator and put it in and sure enough the wind sound was gone and no more leaks when I would go to the car wash. So inspect your window and see if it's going all the way up when you roll it up.

Ooh. Gotta add that to the car wash / detailing checklist :D
Will it help door stickiness in the winters?

Good point. I could swear that the wind noise wasn't there when I bought it and the rear windows have been used since then, so it might be the regulators going kaput.

Now I'm wondering if I really should have QQ MORE on my license plates, since in all likelihood it would be me :D
