Bryan you're a dirty old man.
I gotta say, McCain may be our best option on oil (of the three availible), and not just for the reasons you think.
Of course, McCain's enviro-policies won't be as bad as say Obama or Hillary (not that they would neccessarily be "good").
My thinking is that McCain is someone who will change his principles for whatever is politically expedient. Hillary (and presumably Obama) only give lip service to what is politically expedient, but when in power push there agenda regardless of what the public wants.
There seems to be the beginnings of a ground swell to fix the oil price issue in the corporate sector and in the personal sector. If that grows big enough, McCain might respond to it, let the politicians be damned; potentially doing something to fix it. Hillary and Obama would say "get used to it" and work to enact policies that make the price of oil even higher.
