can I put the outter gen II tail lights in my 02? and does anyone know if the trunk lids swap right out?? Thanks

ok, yes, I found a thread the tails will fit, but will the trunk lids interchange?

yes - the tail light and trunk lid will fit - however:
- Gen1 have ridges on the outside of lights - Gen2 is smooth - so it will look goofy (IMHO)
- the trunk lid on the Gen2 has a little 'flip' at the trailing edge - looks good but the Gen1 does not have it. Since the Gen1 was targeted to also head to Europe the Gen1 lid is more areo.
- the trunk lid mounted tail lights are different Gen1 to Gen2
- the trunk lid license plate surround it different gen1 to Gen2
