Will a '93 door fit on a '98

Anyone know if the driver door from a 93 Mark VIII will fit on a 98? A local salvage place has one and tells me it will fit, but I'm skeptical. Would the interior trim (from the 98) fit the 93?

The door will fit and the panel should too. A few have swapped Gen II interiors into Gen 1s.

Yes I have a 94 door on my 97! door handles are different though.

The door fits fine. If I remember, the inside of the door had to be slightly modified so the panel would fit right. Also, on the GenI, the inside door handle tilt down slightly. It will still work, but does not look the best. I have genI doors on my 97.

swap the handles too and save the hadache.

yes the inside door handles can be changed, all you need to do is drill out the rivets that hold the inner handle to the door shell and swap them.
