Yes the passenger side cat would need to come down. Keep in mind the sensor needs to be installed some what up right. Also installing the sensor that close to the head has heat issues. That close to the head it can overheat and malfunction. That was the first ? I was asked when I had problems with the unit.

I have been told the drivers side is preferable since it will be the first bank to go lean if their is a fuel delivery issue.
