whistle and pops

my mark whistles (gen2) when i am driving most of you probably dont notice it but i have my sunroof air noise bar thing down to make less noise when the sunroof is open, does anyone else notice this?

and every time i start my car and take off before it shifts into second, it makes a quite popping sound around 15-17mph and its only the first time i take off after i start my car. it seems to be coming from under my car, anyone ever heard of this? it only

The thing around 15mph is normal. Every gen 2 I know of does this. I forget what it is but its normal.

mine doesn't pop kind of make crunch sound, but under the same circumstances

Then you should get yours checked out, something is broke on it.

at 17mph the ABS system does an automated self test that makes a short scraping noise from the ABS pump

Search to the rescue.

Interesting... my abs works fine and I've never noticed that noise... maybe I listen to my music too loud to hear it?

Very possible! Its a faint noise, if the radio is on too loud you wont hear it.

Now that I think about it, I have never been in a 98, every 97 I have been in makes that noise.

Mine does both of these mine has the ASC sunroof... yuck

My sunroof vibrates at (when its shut)certain speeds and on certain roads. So I have to shut the cover on the inside

Even my conti makes that noise in the front when you first drive it.
