Okay, you want help (and as far as I can tell you want it spoon by spoon), but you don't provide all the needed info to help you. V8 or V6? Gen I or Gen II?

As another commenter pointed out, it is easy to find, so it is hard for me to understand why you can't.
If you have a gen II V8, then here it is.

2002 v6, obviously im not a mechanic or very good with cars, or else id know...like you

didnt mean i needed a half assed response from you just laughing rather than pointing in the right direction.

never done this before, tried it myself...its almost done and thats the last thing i need to do to be finished, should have figured youd be part of the "cool guy know it all look down on people who dont elite" club.

if anyone wants to help and is considerate could help me out instead of typing LOL and thinking im a "newb" cuz i dont work on cars it would be appreciated

might be funny to yall, but to me its frustrating cuz im almost done! lol

ahhhh

I know the feeling from other forums like that (cough cough EF, so bitchy if your not elite to help lol)

I actually JUST got my ls and I'm not at home to check, but can you take a couple shots of the engine where the pulleys are I'd be glad to point you to the right direction man

yeah i know, its like if you dont wanna help dont reply...

umm i guess i could take pics, but i dunno if ill be able to get shots of all of em with the cam or not, let me check and see

ok took some with the blackberry, u can only see 3...the one on the alternator which obviously isnt it thats where the belt needs to loosen to go on...

then one to the right of it...then one a little above the alternator...only ones that are in view, the rest are like behind the radiator, sending them to my email now

The pulley that is attached to an arm is the one you want to rotate to get the belt off. Like in the pic joe posted.

ok let me post the pics i think its the one to the right of the alternator, hang on

didnt get the belt off like that, just pulled the alternator off and wiggled the belt off...lol

told you im new at this, problem from the start was dont know where that is to loosen it

Oh no problem, not being a smart "A" lol.

cam wasnt working right...looking at that pic and the location pretty sure i found it

thought i twisted it earlier to try to loosen it and it didnt

bout to get out the socket set

you just loosen the socket and turn and it will loosen the belt?

then vice versa to tighten?

Yeah that pulley will pivot on the tensioner arm.

If you use a socket on a breaker bar you can rotate the arm to loosen the belt, if that makes sense.

Just to the right(driver's side) of the crankshaft pulley.

yeah were rigging something up to reach up that, kinda a bitch to get to

my friend is trying to loosen it now, so hopefully itll loosen it to put this belt back on and finish the job finally, now i remember why i usually take it in lol

wanted to save some money this time though
