where is the "Chimer"

Where is the "beeper" located in the ls's? (2002)
I know it is bad, but I do drive the car around right in not very long distances at time. When I do this, I dont put on my seat belt, (I know!) But that dang beeper is driving me crazy, and I want to disconnect it.

anyone help me out?

I have looked for it, listening, and havent had much luck.

Read your owner's manual. There is a simple procedure to disable the seat belt chime only.
Otherwise, you can tear up your gauge cluster (where the beeper is) like another member on here did when trying to pull out the beeper.

I am not completely positive, but i remember looking into this also a few years ago (for different reasons that you)

I believe there is a connector in the right side of the drivers seat(if you're sitting in it) Slide you hand down the side, where all the french fries fall, and you should feel a cable. If you can get to that... disconnect it.

i would go with just shutting the beeping off like in the manual, with the air bags being in the seats and the SRS seat belt retractor things, you never know how the system will act in the event of an accident with something unplugged, at least the car will know that the seat belt is off and that may effect how the system reacts.

yea the last guy that "took care" of the chime itself actually destroyed his cluster.
