Where are all the carrier bearings?

Hello all.

A few months back, after reading a number of posts on the forum, I decided that a vibration that occurs at about 40 mph is because of the driveshaft carrier bearing. I checked with Max, who told me that they were backordered all over the place. So, I ordered one from the local dealership, who I am going to have install it for me. The order was placed about 2 MONTHS ago, I keep checking with them and get the same story: "backordered, hang in there."

Does anybody know where I can try to get one of these bearings? Am I the only one waiting for one of these? Seems odd to take this long to get a part.

Not when you're dealing with an orphan or discontinued car. Try finding tubes for a TV.

Probably easier than finding these bearings .

Maybe one of these will work! Somebody needs to get the ID of the bearing and the center to center dimension of the mount. Heck a picture of the original one would even help. We may be able to find an acceptable alternative if Ford won't make the parts available.

Has anyone checked for that part from Jaguar?
