I'm putting 18X9 wheels on a '98 with hub swap.
What are the largest tires I can mount with only occasional rubbing?
Also, what offset works best (+24, +35, +45)?
Thank you for any help.

I'm running 03/04 Cobra 17x9 with +25mm with 255/275's with the rear lips rolled.

275/40 with a +24 mm offset will only rub occasionally. I had 275/50 tires and they rubbed all the damn time.

you want your offset at or below 36mm. 36mm works for most people. some rub the spindle slightly (probably because they need front wheel bearings). 30mm works pretty well. 24mm will start getting you close to the outer fender. some rub more than others. i wouldn't drop under 24mm.
