Wheel spin

I will say my TC helped my tail today but had to cut it when the Lincoln got stuck. NOW I see why so many of you guys put these things up when it snows... Tokyo Drifted a round-a-bout during the blizzard here this morning because the TC kicked in but a split second too late.

Two words....... Snow tires.

I have neither advanced track nor traction control.

Not sure of the Lincoln system but other people in the ski cub have had problems going up steep hills in the snow where the power kept getting cut back until they were just standing still or sliding backwards.

I know on mine I keep it in one gear higher than normal and keep some slight wheelspin going up the worst of the App Gap. When I say slight I'm indicating 35 and if I lift off the speedometer drops to 30. Without a steady push and a decent starting speed I'd never make it over the steepest sections.

My LS was built in '99 (probably one of the first LS's to be put on the road) and it has ATS.Can you take a pic of your center console?

Advancetrak has kept my car straight every day this week. Its especially helpful when you change lanes and it helps the back from trying to pass the front. I've never owned a vehicle with stability control and I'm thoroughly impressed..

Although I still want a LSD so I can drift around corners

Speaking of the Gen I, has anyone else noticed the box hidden on the upper right hand side of the trunk, behind the carpeting? What's this for?

It's the Henry Ford Surprise Box, it will pop open on JULY 30th, 2013,

On January 5, 1914, the company announced it would double worker’s pay and
shorten the workday. Instead of $2.34 for nine hours, most workers would make
$5.00 for eight hours.

oh shȋt. you weren't kidding. ah well, i'm looking forward to my $5 :D

Just imagine at 5$ per 8 hours, how many days you'd have to
work in order to be able to afford a Degas bottle for your LS.
