2000 LS V6 94k miles recently while driving my car at about 50mph i hear a loud humming sound coming from my car would this be indication of worn wheel bearing or hub assembly?

Could be tread noise from the tires or a worn out wheel bearing. Can you tell which part of the car its coming from?

it sounds like its coming from the rear

Alright, jack up the rear end of the car. Grab each wheel at the top and bottom and see if you can rock it side to side. It should feel solid, if you feel any play then its likely the bearing is shot.

alright i will try that right now but is their any chance that it could be the HUB Assembly

hub assembly is the bearing. cant buy just the bearing it all comes in one package and i hear they are really fun to remove....cheers
