Is there a company that sells some kind of adapter for different bolt patterns?

The reason that I ask, is that I am wanting to put some Mustang Saleen rims on my LS. I have looked online and I can find a single wheel that even resembles close to them.

If there is a company out there that does this, what do you think about them? GOOD/BAD

Thanks
Marco

Lots but why add more metal unless you need to fill in some space?

Just buy spare hubs and have those re drilled and the proper studs pressed in or just use yours.

I am not fully understanding what you had mentioned.

Do I get the mustang rotor and get drilled or the whole hub assembly. The reason that I ask is that you can do both on different conversions on the mustangs. Also, what can you do for the rear?

I was just thinking that the adapters would for sure fit and maybe less expensive than buying rotors, taking them to a machine shop and having drilled, ect.

Thanks for the input, keep it coming!

Drill your hubs or buy other LS hubs and drill them.

The only other thing I forgot to mention is you will need to either drill the rotors also or hope that the Stang rotors are the same size.

Proper spacers/adapters are expensive. It dont cost much to have someone with the time make a few holes.

you can get 5x108 adpt to 5x114.3 mustang bolt pattern on ebay all 4 of them for 130 just an idea

the issue with using spacers/convertors on the LS - is that the LS already has a fairly high negative offset - meaning the hubs are pushed out to the corners of the car. This is one of the issues when trying to find compatible rims.

So if you add spacers you simply make the issue worse. THere will be very few rims that will fit onto the hub+spacer and still tuck under the fender wheel well.

Can a machine shop get exactly the right bolt pattern if I was to use the rotors that are already on the car?

Also, this will not allow the rotor to be less strong and perhaps a liablity to break?

Thanks guys
Marco

I dont see why they wouldnt be able to get it right.

Just ask a few shops and try to find one that did it before or at least did lots of similar work.

I have not heard of anyone with a real problem.

What do you think about this offset and the backspacing on the LS rotors redrilled?

Also, do you think that it would be toooo much offset if I went with the adapters?

Thanks
Marco

won't work, look for something 40+.

So, do you think that these would work?

Wheel Fitment: 2005-2009 Ford Mustang Finish: Black
Rim Offset: 45mm Bolt Pattern: 5X4.5
Backspacing: 7.25 Wheel Size: 18X10
Recommended Tires: 275/40/18
285/40/18
295/40/18

WHAT ABOUT THESE?

18 x 9 5 x 4.75 +50mm / 6.95

Could I get my factory rotors drilled for these?

Thanks!!!!!!!:D

I am confused about knowing the backspacing along with the offset, so I dont know for sure what I am looking for.

Use this calculator as a baseline http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

The widest you will fit in the rear is a 9.5" with a 60mm offset. (use this as your guideline in the current wheel spec boxes) you wont want somehting that sticks out further than these.
Stock are 7.5" with a 60mm offset.

Use these numbers to play around with the calculator.

For example, put 9.5" and 60mm in the current wheel specs boxes.
Then put your 9.5" and 50mm in the new wheels spec boxes.

Notice your wheel sticks out 10mm further. This will never fit the LS without some fender pulling.

And when you find wheels for example 40mm and want to add a 25mm spacer, the offset then would be 40mm-25mm=15mm offset. Just out that in the calculator and see how far they will stick out. Good Luck!
