Well, my lawsuit should be over soon and I'am getting money from that. So I'm looking to buy a new (well used) car. I dont want to pay straight up for it as I still want a payment to help my credit. I'm looking at a couple options.

and several other 300's
I am also looking at Audi A6s as well. Let me know what your ideas are as far as those options.

Now to my headline. I own a 2000 LS8, with 87000 on it. I have had the whole front end replaced as well as coils, VCG, and several other things. Car runs smooth now and all kinks are gone. Has 20" black rims with Nitto tires, angel eyes, eyebrows, tinted tails, mclaren grill, 2 12s, blah blah blah. some other stuff that doesnt matter when selling it. The car is in great shape cosmetically and mechanically. What would your best guess be for trade-in and resale. I owe 6k on it still. Thanks for your input.

IMO you can get a better car than a 300 for the money. The 300's have absolutely TANKED since their release and you can't drive 5 miles without seeing a 300 with 20's sitting on them. Honestly, if you like the 300 you need to get the 300C, that at least has the V8 powerplant. The stock 300's are garbage.

I agree and understand the whole "they're everywhere" issue and thats one thing I love about the LS is that you used to never see them now that theyre selling for close to nothing they're all over. Would you say go with an Audi. I would look at other cars, like acuras, but I feel like I am to big for them. I'm 6'5, 250.

Audi would be a nice choice, I looked at A6's before I bought my LS. The A6 is an outstanding car.

6'5 250? Yeah..you need a full sized car.

A 300C Hemi or better yet, the 300c SRT is still a hot ride.

My buddy jsut got a SRT-8 and it is insane. He put an all black grill on it that really makes the car stand out. My other buddy just picked up a touring edition and his is pretty sweet as well. I guess well have a clan of 300s.

Yeah im a fairly big guy always have been and football packed on a few pounds that i need to get rid of.

Any input on selling my LS

I've also seen some 2003 BMW 540i Sport Packaged models that are sharp, as it's the last of the old body style. And as BMW often does, they placed the //M body kit on it. SHARP and about mid 20k for a good used one. About 290hp, 300 torque, and FAST. Fair amount of room. But at 6'5, I'd look closer at a used 740. Same engine, just as quick..and if you get it with the sport package, VERY sporty.

the base 2.7 liter engine in the 300 is POS. At least go with 3.5 or better yet 5.7.

The 03 540i sport is a beautiful car. As LSEGUY said above it's fast too. It has 290 hp and 324 lb torque, also the 03 sport has a short ratio differential so it's even fasted off of the line.

As for the 7-series, the 01 740i sport is the best I think. It has sport seats, sport 3 spoke M steering wheel, sequential tranny, short ratio differential, nice 18" M parallel wheels, sport suspention and great timeless design.

But these cars are already getting old and you need to find a really nice one and be ready for some expensive repairs. 2 of my friends have 7s, one is 99 740il with 120k miles and it's already tired, bunch of service lights are on and different stuff breaks down all the time, the other one is 01 740il sport with 55k still in great condition but few things started to go (fuel pump, suspension bushings..).

Yeah the BMW is a nice car but its not practical for me at this point of my life. I need something that is inexpensive to repair as apposed to fast and sporty. I know the Audi is neither one of those.

What should I ask for my car anyone got an idea.

Don't count the Acura out, I thought it had a lot more interior room than either the BMW or Audi.

If you can give up sporty, look at the Hyundai Azera. Huge interior, in a straight line it's very fast. Suspension is tuned for mushy ride, so handling is not a strong suit, and it doesn't have any of the toys you would get with the others.

Audi's repair records are not all that great either.

Your LS I would put at about 6k trade in, 8k sell.

to give you an idea, i bought my 00ls8 for $9k totally stock, not even tinted windows, w/ 68k miles, about 6 months ago. w/ your mods id try to sell it to an individual for around $10-maybe $12k. (wheels, system, etc.) some indivdual will probably hop on a car that doesnt need too many mods.

for your new car. magnum/300c/charger srt8. maybe a 5-7series beamer, the e,s, or cl-series mercedes are all nice and roomy. keep checking autotrader bro, you'll find something...
