Last night I had some guys test driving a newer BMW 7-series flag me down and offer to buy my car. The engine is newer, cobra intake, j-mods, 3.73 w/trak lock, cobra brakes, under-drive pullies, t-bird rear sway bar. 178,000 miles. Do you think I could get anything out of it.

98' ce w/178k? To a random person inquiring about a car thats not for sale i'd say $4-4500.

Why would some guys test driveing a newer 7 series want to buy a 20 year old lincoln?

Not saying it's a pos, just doesn't make sense.

I don't see why it doesn't make sense. Stuff like that happens all the time. I would say that when someone out of the blue approaches you with offers like that you have to have your BS meter going to see if they are for real or not. Spontaneous offers tend to pay more. I would sell mine for $5k in a minute if someone stopped me and offered to buy it.

Wait, I was under the impression that he owned a gen1. Therefore I retract my previous statement. :shifty:

Really I had a guy make a fuss about my car one day and he oiffered me 10,000.00 for it and I said yes. He ignored my answer and kept making the offer over again as if I said no even though I said yes three time  Sorry topher5150 I dont know enough about your car to say. I tried looking under view your photos but nothing is there ??

Not sure why but I kind of want another Mark VII

I had a guy at the gas station asking me all kinds of questions about mine a couple of weeks ago. He was driving a Ford Excursion. He asked me if I wanted to sell it and I said no. Probably should have given him a chance to make an offer:D

Everything is for sale----some things are to be sold Like the song--Take the money and run, get enough and buy two more

Not really seeing any updated pics so, kinda hard to say what something is worth. If someone wants that particular color combo, I guess they would pay a decent price. That's something you have to decide for yourself and what you feel like it's worth. I have a local 95 black on black for sale about 20 min away and he feels like it's worth $2500 but I saw it in person and $500 would be my top dollar. Needs a lot of work.

I think $5k is more than a fair price. Look whats out there for $5k, nothing nicer than a mark in my opinion.
