Jeff driving Tiffs old 93 did manage to take out the "other side of the ladder" while I "waded thru my side of the ladder", with us meeting up in the final round!

you should see the look on the 12 second wrx drivers face when he got a good look at my 14 second mark 8's taillights...

and.. I "hit the hazards" on him at about 1100 feet.

He spent too much time trying to get his boost and RPM "just right" for that "perfect" launch.
I cut an .010 light on him and he DID catch up to me at the 60 foot clocks
his 1.75 60' to my 2.10 60' but every time he "changed gears" he'd lose about a 1/3 of a car length.

I beat him to the stripe by about a 1/2 car.... he had about 15 MPH advantage at the stripe.. but.. the WIN LIGHT still burned brightly in the LINCOLN LANE.

I used .5 as a common average to beat noobs at the light. Between R/T and bad launching I've beaten faster.

Last time out end of the day only a few of us left a kinda shabby 5.0 fella approached me to run against him. Never saw him run and would have anyway cause I can turn a light and at least give it what I got. He R/Ted ok but lost traction killing his 60' and missed 2nd or 3rd can't remember. I finished first by a little as he couldn't catch me. We went around again he improved all around and got me by a bit that time. I parked to cool, guy comes over says its his friends car do I want to run him. I say give me 20...we go. Guy does like high 11s....just blasted off. Yeah driver matters.

If it were "just CAR vs CAR" then it would be a TIE..
Because neither car would be able to MOVE without a driver.

People often overlook the MOST important aspect of a dragrace.."THE DRIVER".

Cars are inanimate hunks of steel that wont move unless there's an actual "DRIVER" in them.. SO.. it'll never be "Car vs Car".

I'm just saying drivers aside, can't assume every VIII owner can drive and every Mustang owner is a tool that can't.

good news is.. it's almost 4:20, maybe it'll make more sense at 4:30.

Take any 93 VIII and its driver and you will not always get 14.6. 4:20s long gone....time for 6:20.

Just for clarification.. This particular mustang driver was not some "green,wet behind the ears noob"..he's the track manager/announcer from another area dragstrip.. HE AINT NO DUCK...(lol)
