Hi I Need New Tires For My 05 Lincoln Ls. But I Dont Know What Tires To Get. I Live In Chicago So I Need All Season Tires I Need Tires That Are Good In The Snow And In Rain. Does Anybody Have Any SugestionS ON WHAT TIRES TO GET. THE SIZE ARE 235/50R17 I NEED SOME TIRES THAT ARENT ALOT OF MONEY BUT SOME THAT ARENT SO CHEAP. SO DECENT TIRES.

i've been happy with my cooper cs4's, which are cheap and durable.

I don't know how they'd perform in snow and ice, though.

sadly enough it doesn't matter what tires you get... without an LSD look forward to pushing your LS out of 1 inch of snow this winter.... I'm dealt with it plenty of times

They came on my mark and they did fine in the snow. Well as good as could be expected in a rear wheel drive rocket.

If you are in Chicago you get very cold weather and decent amount of snow. I was in Chicago in Feb '08 and it was colder than Toronto, and got more snow than we did that winter (I have employees in Schaumburg so heard about the weather regularly)!

I would recommend winter tires and cheap aluminium rims (maybe 16 inch to reduce expense). Your all season rubber will get "hard" (less pliable) as the temp gets closer to zero (celsius) which means they won't grip as well (braking, cornering, acceleration), and will slide easier.....even on dry cold pavement. The winter rubber compound is more flexible/pliable way below zero (celsius) so you will have better traction in dry/ice/snow conditions anytime over the winter. Even more important in a RWD car (except when braking as all drive types need good tires up front for braking.

I got Blizzak's WS60's on MSW rims (16") from Tire Rack for a very good price when I got the car. Never got stuck, even in snow storms.

i dont know what it will do to your ride quality but i have been very impressed with Yokohama AVID TRZ tires. They arnt speed rated very high though...115-120. but man, they do awesome in rain and snow. tire rack gave me a bunch of crap when i ordered them for my car, but i just told them not to worry about it. i love these tires, they are quiet aswell
