What is this hose called?

Ok forgive me for the photo, I almost puked when I opened it! It was taken when my Mark was delivered.

But yeah, The hose that connects the intake tube to the valve cover is ripped, cracked, dry, and yeah pretty much useless. I'm not driving the car now but what is it called? I need to get a new one, and would this stuff be available locally or should I go check out junkyards?

I beleive it aids crankcase ventilation...

its the fresh air inlet hose for the PCV system. you can replace it with pretty much any oil resistant hose that fits without being kinked. you cant run just a filter on the valve cover or the engine will run lean. it has to be plumbed into the intake tube after the maf sensor.
