hi guy i thinking purchase a new wheel and tires for my 2001 lincoln ls. i wodering what is the widest tires i can put on my ls? beacuse i want the tires to flush with the body of the ls.

You mean ALMOST flush with the inside of your wheelwell, right?
Flush with the body would scrape and bend the wheelwells every time you went over a big pothole or speed bump, not to mention shredding the tires unless you're going with like a 13 inch wheel, or even worse if you get aftermarket springs to lower the car.

I'm running 255/45-18's on 18x8 wheels with a 45mm offset and just have about 1/4 inch clearance inside the rear wells, plenty of room in the front (those wells are always bigger to accomodate steering).
