What is the firing order for a 2000 LS V8?

F 5-6-7-8 B

First answer that popped up typing in "2000 Lincoln LS V8 Firing Order" in google....

The cylinder number order for the V8 is:

Back (Fire Wall)
4 8
3 7
2 6
1 5
Front (Radiator)

And,

The firing order for the V8 is: 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8.

When code for cylinder 3 comes up with check engine light does that mean change the 3rd cylinder or the 3rd cylinder in firing order diagram? I’m changing all cop’s and plugs but internet has me questioning this due to so many different opinions?

3rd cylinder, always.
back
4 8
3 7
2 6
1 5
