What if I messed up one of the j-mod holes...?

Well I got a VB from a 96 explorer w/ a 4R70W for $35. The plate looks fine and I'm not going to j-mod it from what i have read. I'm putting it in Saturday. Wish me luck!

why have you decided not to do a shift kit

I was reading on TCCOA that if you use a truck valve body not to do the j-mod. Not sure why.... Since I'm only using the plate I tihnk the same idea is applied.

As I have said before I would go with a be controls shift kit and even though you don't have a kit from them I would call them and tell them what you have and listen what they recommend. Then you can choose to get a kit or just use the info they gave you
