What do you mean nothing is F@#$%^ here dude! The plane has crashed into the mountain

Okay here she goes. Start the car today and i'ts rumbling like a jackhammer (misfire im pretty sure). I turn the wheel about half a turn and the engine cuts out. Turn it back on but its still rumbling like an airplane on the strip, but doesn't cut out so I drive slowly to work. (Check engine light blinked on initial start up and then after it died and I started it again its on solid) Long story short I drive the car about a half hour with it all rumbly tumbly then leave it for about 8 hours to go to work. Started her up at the end of the day and shes running smooth with an occasional hiccup (engine light is still on solid). Might be a bad gas fillup because this happened a month ago when I filled up at the same Shell station and the light eventually turned off. Gimme some tips here fellas, I need to tame that ever so dangerous check engine light.
