Ran a 15.5x. Lot of time to be had in the 60 foot. I spun pretty bad off the line, but by the 1/8 mile mark i started pulling on the fox pretty good. Fun times
 
Were you at K.I.R. ? Did they redo the track yet? Last time I was there I was running in truett and Osborn and they had just put in the new bathrooms/ concession building. The track was getting pretty rough.
 
What was your MPH and 60 foot times? You don't want to power brake the car if it's stock, just launch off idle and shock the converter.

I got a 9.5 @ 74.88 friday night

My slicks were brand new and had too much air in them. (spun off the line!)

i made a few 75 mph passes.

I WILL run much faster after I tune my car. Im hitting the limiter on the shift from 2-3 because I cannot command the shift early enough.
 
what was cool for me was he was 1.5 secs quicker in his et but only 2 mph faster. and i could definatly hear him staying in it all the way down the track. what are your mods?

4.30s and a 93 once piece d/s

2.2 60' on new slicks :rolleyes:

At the 1/4 mile "track" in front of my house the next day, I'm pretty sure I ran faster a 60'. (wrinkled the sidewalls!!!!)

I can't wait to get back and see if I cannot hit a 1.9-2.0

id love to do some gears but i drive my car daily and dont wanna sacrifice my milage. if i did do gears it would probably be 373s or 410s. what was your 1/4 et?

I just drove my car 200 miles!:headbang: 75 mph @ 2800rpms

Dont know my 1/4 stats because my track isn't long enough :D

slaughtered a 04 gt, a TPI vette, rx8, and bunch of the other slow(er) cars
 
DO NOT launch a stock Mark on the brakes, FLASH the converter from dead idle, t/c and o/d off. Manual shift too with no program right at 6200ish, the late shifting will put you right at 6500ish when you do actually shift.

I'll hit the limiter either way

If I launch off idle in D, I will tap the limiter every shift (1-2, 2-3)

Launch off 1, command shift 2nd at 5k, 1-2 will be fine. 2-3 will still hit the limiter if i don't momentarily take my foot off the gas.
 
serious question, hopefully when i get my license i can go up to a track to see what this thing can really do. the car is bone stock, even stock are these kinda fast or atleast feel fast? i definately notice they have a pickup, when driving if you put your foot down from 40 you get to 70 really quickly lol, would love to do a 1/4 mile, any car, but i think its cool a lincoln at a track :)

Mine, like lots here have done 14's stock. 14.75 best stock here.
 
but my ? is will the car feel fast w my foot to the floor? like an adrenaline rush?
 
so could i expect to be deep into the 14's with a cobra intake and a tune?

With a decent 60, yes.

I'll have to dig out my timeslips (if still legible) to see what my 60 was but the time in my sig was done with gutted cats, 3.55 gears, 05 mustang gt mufflers, and j-mod. Flash off the line and left it in d with od off.
