weird stuff going on

i would search but i'm really not sure what to look for.
my car- 2002 ls v-8 sport 65,000ish miles

yesterday while sitting at a red light my abs and traction control light came on then out then on again. then when i pressed the gas the dash lights went out and came back on and the lights went out and on again. but once i was on the highway everything was fine again. is it my clock spring?

more likely you alternator or battery. at idle, the alternator is barely putting out enough juice to run the car, add the AC, stereo and brakelights to it - ....

It sounds like your alternator is failing. Once you fix that, you'll probably find that you need a new battery too (the failing alternator put a lot of stress on your battery).
Alternately, you may have a loose electrical connection.

is it relatively hard to take out of the car? im going to search for a write up on it hopefully i can find something
