Weird sound ..

Ok, this isn't the first time I heard it, but i think its where the steering wheel is, i hear this tssssssssssssssssssssssss sound, like a tire loosing air kind of noise, I don't know what it is, it does it for 30 sec or less then it goes away, it happens once and a while, but not all the time, anyone know what it is?

2000 Ls btw ..

I know my intake makes that sound. But, I only notice it every once in a while. Is it like a whistle sound?

i think i might have the same sound. it might've gone away when i replaced the ball joints but not too certain. i haven't really paid much attention to it lately. make a video, it always helps.

this is just a guess...i have no idea...but i am pretty sure the LS has two power steering pumps...and one of them could be going bad...now a friend of mine had an LS, traded it to a guy on here, and it had one of them replaced supposedly because it was making a whirring sound...i dont know, but i think i have heard that on mine...

I guess take it to the dealer? Not sure if warrenty covers something like that.

I'd put a $100 down that it is your climate control. Possibly your air conditioning unit kicking on &/or venting system changing position.

mine does the same thing since i got my new engine, i think its in the climate control. it's coming from behind the dash, sounds like

ya know, you might be right, every time i put it on the window and feet, the AC automatically turns on, and i always have to shut it off ..
