My 98 lsc is experiencing some exhaust problems. When i accelerate fast it makes like a sputtering noise when I get on it. I had it looked at at a muffler shop and there wasn't any holes or leaks in the exhaust. It doesn't have a catalytic converter not sure if that's a problem either. Everything is stock too...any ideas?

man you are going to have to describe it better.. is there a lack of power? like a stumble?

if it sounds like an exhaust leak, and there is no exhaust leak, check your egr tube they are known to rust through...

and you will have to wait longer then 4 min for a response

If he has a "leek" in his exhaust, that is a serious problem. Get that vegetable out of there. LOL

If it doesn't have catalytic converters than it's definitely not stock..... How did you come to that conclusion?

If there is one thing i've learned is when there is an sound coming from underneath the car from the exhaust, it's probably not a faulty exhaust. It sounds weird but most of the time it may be a bad spark plug or some other engine part that may screw with your engine rpm and yield a noise from the exhaust. Just my 2 cents.

Lol..putting vegetables your exhaust eh? Sounds dirty..

And yeah how does it not have any cats if It's stock? You have to still have the cats right out of your exhaust manifolds..take a picture underneath the car so we can see what you mean.

No it doesnt lack any power at all its just when i punch it or get on it, i can hear like a loud sputter noise coming from the back, i had it in at an exhaust place and they said they're was no leaks or anything.
