I have a 2004 V6 LS. It leaks coolant from somewhere under the intake manifold. Coolant runs down on the passenger side and drips on the belt. The car never really overheats. It gets a little warmer then normal sometimes but goes back to normal pretty quickly. Most of the time it stays normal.

I have to add coolant every few days maybe a half gallon. Any ideas what could be leaking? ive looked everywhere and cant seem to find it.

Here is an illustration of the area.

The green area is covered in coolant. Ive cleaned it off before and tried to find the source.

The yellow part I circled seems to be leaking. There is a trail of fluid coming from it. ive wiped it off many times too.

Anyone have any suggestions of what to check?

Any v6 owners chiming in?
I can't speak authoritatively since I've only worked on a v8. Does this engine also have a coolant tube running from the front to the back underneath the intake? Seems that's the kind of thing going on.

You may have to pull the upper intake to get a good look, then source the part. Probably a cracked hose or connector of some type. The service manual that is online only covers the V8, so I don't have access to good diagrams for this engine.
