water pump question,QUICK!!!

quick question for anyone who has done a water pump on the mark 8's.

i dont have a garage,it is gonna snow here in a few hours,and i just realized my water pump is leaking a decent amount,

i know i can pull it off and replace it fairly quick,how much coolant will i lose?i dont have much time,so if it is gonna require me having to do a full cooling refill and air burp and all that jazz,i am going to leave this job for later this week or next,after the weather clears,

You will lose a LOT of coolant. Might want to wait until the weather clears.

why a Cobra one?

They switched to a better, more effiecient water pump design in the 99 Cobra. You may gain up to 5hp with this mod as well although it won't be noticeable.

will this be a direct swap,bolt right in?
i dont want any hassle for maybe 5hp,

also,does it have to be stealership unit,?

I haven't done it before but it should be a direct swap. also you probably want to get a Motorcraft one which doesnt have to be from the dealership but atleast dont get some aftermarket one
