So, I went to check up on my car and see when we would be able to work on it again, the other day. When I walked up to the house where my car currently sits, I noticed that the part of my exhaust which is currently not hooked up to the car, was sitting in front of the garage. I clearly remember putting it inside the garage when we originally removed it, so this bothered me a good bit to say the least.

Whats worse is, it was raining that day. So, I think it is safe to say that a good amount of water has made its way into the passenger-side catalytic converter.

Is this something that could be problematic? If we just dump out what water will drain from it, would it be damaging to the cat/exhaust if I were to plug it in and run?

Oh and by the way... the O2 sensor was still attached as well. I plan on replacing it soon anyway, but is this something else that could be problematic in a plug-in-and-run scenario?

I don't think a little water will hurt the cats considering your exaust gets water in it all the time from running.

If you have the exaust off you would be stupid not to put o2's in unlees they are brand new anyways.

The cats should be just fine. Did you know that catolytic converters actually make water? It is created by the chemical process within the cat. Not great amounts, though some.
