warranty expires soon. need advice

Hello Everybody,

I need some advice on my warranty?

I have on 02 with an extended warranty. My warranty expires at 60k miles(currently 58200) or October. I owe about 12k on it and I was planning on driving it 3+ years(15k miles per year) longer.

Overall the car runs well. However, I think that it might need new plugs/wires because the engine flutters a little when accelerating on the freeway.

What should I do now? Extend Warranty?

if you have the option to extend the warranty i would go with that

Extend it if you can. In the mean time pull a spark plug out and see if there is oil on it. If so, see if you can get your current warranty to replace the valve cover gaskets. If you cannot extend the warranty try to keep about $1500 back a year for repairs in case something goes wrong. I'd think you would be good for another 3 years 45,000 miles without warranty but you never know.
