Warning lights are on!

When I started my 01 TC yesterday, the instrument cluster went nuts. All of the warning lights stayed on:
Check Trac, ABS, Check Engine, Seat Belt, Temp, Oil, High Beam

What could be causing this? Everything seems to work ok. Tried it again and the same thing. Had the alternator checked and it was fine. Checked the main grounds and they are good. It has rained very hard the last couple of days, don't know if that contributes.
Any ideas?

start out by pulling the neg side of the battery. leave it unhooked for a few min's then hook back up.

It will reset everything.
