I am looking for two inexpensive 17 X 9 wheels with the stock 5 lug 4 1/4 bolt pattern (Standard Mark VIII) to mount drag radials on. Looks not important. Thanks Don

You can have www.weldcraftwheels.com widen any rim you want. They did the wheels on my 70 Duster. I wanted stock wheels, but 10 inches wide. Their work is awesome.[/QUOTE

I am not looking for custom made wheels I have 17 X 9 in. wheel on it now. There Lincolnmotorsport Cobra style wheels. I just want a inexpensive used set to mount drag radial on. The reason for this size is I already have a set of 275-40-17 Mickey Thompson drag radials.

Did you even look at the site, they widen wheels. You can buy any 17 inch wheel in our bolt pattern(like from an LS) and they will widen it to 9 inches for you. It is gonna be faster than asking around here for 2 17x9 wheels. The junk yard around here has them for ten bucks.

So a LS has the same bolt pattern as a Mark.

buying two wheels and haven them widened defeats what the original poster said here:

Finding two inexpensive 17 x 9 wheels in our bolt pattern is about as likely as find pot at Jonas Brothers concert. I don't see people lining up here to sell him two wheels. Clearly he wants to to go to the strip and probably sooner than later, so weldcraft is the best bet. A hub swap would yield all kinds of cheap 17 x 9 wheels in a stang pattern too.

Have you considered an actual Drag wheel?? Im building these now and they are extremely nice, lightweight and you can pic any style. Pricing as well as other information is in the linked thread discussion at the SCCoA.

I dont build the 17X9 Replicas much anymore. Last casting was the 03Cobra and those are long gone. If you are dead set on some 17X9's I would suggest putting a want add up at the SCCoA and the TCCoA though. Ya never know what someone has laying around. Also with some of these guys finally getting a drag wheel option they will probably be getting rid of whatever they are currently using.

Cheers
