I just picked up a 1996 mark viii. nothing about this car appears to be lsc(moldings, headlights, badging). but when i look at my title under model no. it says "lscani". also when i type my vin number (1LNLM91V7TY661056) into carfax it says "Year/Make/Model: 1996 LINCOLN MARK VIII/LSC/DIAMND ANIV ".

i'm not getting my hopes up i know its probably not an lsc, but is this a common mistake?

Well if you do NOT have chrome trim on the bumpers and doors and its has an LSC badge, you have and LSC package.

If the interior seats are two-toned, then its a Diamond Anniversary (DA) edition.

In truth all Marks are LSCs = Luxury Sport Coupe, and one could say all 96 are anniversary cars. Its the packages that make the edition.

My 95 is not a LSC however the DMV & the insurance co. has it on paper that way.

The other day some guy was driving a 93 Mark & he told me it ran OK, but his pal had a 95 or96 LSC & it had a super fast cobra motor (stock) People seem to not know much about these cars until they read up on them. The DMV & ins co. just don't listen period!

You will know for certain if you have a (LSC) or a Diamond Aniversary.

damn i was kind of hoping that the original owner of my car had the suspension, exhaust, and gearing done but liked the look of the base model lol. hopes and dreams shot down
