Overall I was happy with the night and can't wait to do a few things over the winter and get back out there next year.

I had a great time. This only my second time and I dropped my time by .5 from the first time.

LOL. You spanked the chicken.

yup i spun like hell, track wasn't preped for sh1t and it was really cold, after that i started doing a burnout just to heat my tires up so i wouldnt spin through 1st. did hit a new best, 94 mph (just not that run)

i got some pics too just gotta get them from the camera and clean them up

Where have you been? Haven't seen you post here in a while, your post count sure is high!:p

Aw turborich i have been around just not posting much, my post count could be doubled what it is now if i wanted it to be that way. :D Oh second vid works :D

Excellent runs down the strip chicken, i thought i saw feathers falling off your car. :D

yup 2nd vid is workin..........."oh derick" lolol gotta love the random background chatter, listen around the 10 sec mark the wife says "kick his ass" and i did!

Yeah, it's like she forgot it recored sound too. Listen to the one of the mustang you can here an oh! and some other stuff about me beating him.

yeah, i heard mine in the background too talking about how you actually got traction on that run, haha

Yeah I had a horriable light.....I can't get used to that instant green. He kept holding the light differnt times.

Instant green can be a PITA.

try this next time.

prestage the car, stage the car then turn your head and look at the starters hand.

I've had to look in my side view window to see the starter you can watch his hand flinch when he presses the button, hit the gas when you see him flinch and you'll do ok.

Disclaimer, its a very hard thing to do.. "punch the gas while your head is turned"
BE SURE TO DRIVE STRAIGHT!

I did that at a little "podunk" track out in the woods.
The starter had "no consistancy" or ryhme or reason to "when" he'd hit the switch.
sometimes both cars would be staged.. UP on the covertor and the guy would be talking/looking at one of the other guys on the starting line.

Finally I started watching HIM, rather than the tree.
After about 5-6 passes both him and the people around the starting line noticed me "stage and look away"..

One time the starter held his hands out in a "WTF" kinda motion, and I made a "press the button" motion and launched the car when I saw him do it.
I think THAT is when he figured out what I was doing.

..it was a riot.

luckily he wasn't a smart ass and "faked me out" with a false hand jerk!

that's an old "throw back" to the flag man days, before there were "christmas trees".

The good drivers wouldn't watch the flag, they watched the flagmans elbow.
there is a tendon that moves BEFORE your arm can move.
So they'd just "stare into the crook of his arm" and "watch for the flinch".
