i've been noticing a vibration at highway speeds. it seems to happen when i either back off the gas or give it a little gas. the front suspension seems pretty solid so i'm not sure if it's that

You could try indexing the shaft first to see if it makes a difference. Unbolt it and turn 180* and try that, then try 90* either way till its the best etc... Takes a bit of time, but can make a big difference sometimes. Make sure the flange is very clean too as any grit can make it sit funny...

You could also try the hose clamp trick... it sadly was a ford approved procedure back in the day lol...

Yah true, lol...
I've found washers on the rear mounting bolts to work better as hose clamps are usually to heavy to begin with...

I find the clamps are quite sensitive and take more to get right. I guess the few I've done haven't been off enough to need more that a washer or two...
Both ways work pretty good though :)
