valve cover gasket question

i will be replacing my valve cover gasket tomorrow. im looking to buy the felpro set from advance for $50. now my question is i know i have to use a sealant for the gasket does the set come with sealant ? if not whats a good sealant to use. any help will be appreciated . thanks .

The only place that needs a sealant, at least on an '05, is where the wire harness goes under the valve cover at the rear. A small amount of high temp RTV will do the trick.

I do believe that you are talking about the coil cover, and not the valve cover.

The factory manual says to put sealant at the front of the cover, where the timing cover meets the engine.
Don't forget to get a new o-ring for the dipstick tube.

gotta love advance auto part coupons...only paid $51 for the gaskets and rtv sealant.

Not bad. If you take them your old o-ring, they can probably match it.
