I understand that the Lincoln LS has a bad problem with a vacuum leak under the intake manifold. I read a post where the the PCV hose routes under the manifold and is very prone to splitting and leaking.

How hard is this to change and any tips/tricks to this? Lincoln LS w/ 104,000 probably needs a new hose...

Have to remove the manifold to fix it. Couldn't tell you how to do it as Ive never had to, I have the V8 engine. But don't feel unlucky, those of us with the 2 extra cylinders under our hoods also have our own unique set of problems to deal with. :p

Thanks

Thanks...the fixing up the LS is all new to me, and since I have the V-8, I guess I don't have this part to worry about.

I just did this a week ago. Its not to bad it just takes a little time to get all the connections off the intake. Then below that is the fuel rail that has to be moved so you can access the PCV valve and elbow (replace both). You also need to dain the coolant from the radiator.
