V6 Oil Pan Gasket

I read a post on here sometime back about someone changing the oil pan gasket on a 3.0. Tried to search and can't find the right thread. Can anyone point me in the right direction? It said something about raising the engine enough for clearance with a block of wood. Thanks you all.
