After about 10 minutes of drive time, my 04 V-6 quit at around 50 mph. No warning, just shut off at 50 mph. All electricals still functioned. After checking under the hood and trunk (battery), I got back in and it started right up. Drove back home and parked it. Any suggestions?

Sounds like your ecu might be starting to fail. Could be a number of other things like bad ground or fuel pump dying. My first thought is ecu because I had a 89 volvo 740 that would do that and those bosch ecus were known to do that when they aged. The first time it happened from me was accelerating from a stop light the engine died half way through, I put it in neutral and cranked the engine and she fired right back up, popped her in drive and all was good for a while.

Update: Checked for DTC's with my X-Cal 2 and nothing came up. Wife drove the LS for about 2 hrs. today and no repeat, really confused now.

Mine has cut off on me once since I had it. I was pulling in to a parking space and it jus stopped movin. I was like wtf jus happened. Looked down and the tach was at 0 and the dash lights were on. Started it back up and it didn't do it agaain. But mine turned out to be a misfire

never 01V6

never had that ever. I would suspect something is going out, fuel system.

Have you replaced your PCV valve? Im not sure if the 03+ have that issue but pretty much all 00-02 v6 LS' need to have that replaced at some point

I had this same thing happen to me once, just stopped for no reason.. and it started back up like nothing happened... this in combination with an unstable rpm (kept going up and down randomly), replacing the PCV valve fixed that

Hmmmm

I'm thinking Mechanicboy may be on to something here,,,bad ground connection. If you haven't done so, check all your fuses and wires for corrosion, clean and replace. Also check battery and alternator.
