A week ago I finally detailed my car. This included wet sanding and polishing my taillights and getting rid of the oxidation on my headlights. I also debadged it as well. I've had tinted tails and the stealth bulbs for a while but I decided to post pics and some before and afters. Also posted pics of my car in the strictly pics thread.
Stealth Bulbs (Turn Signal Lamp Bulb): The bulb is literally covered in chrome looking stuff and they work great and the customer service here is excellent and they have quick shipping. Now just to get that amber reflector out of there, but that can wait until I get around to doing angel eyes and HID hi's and fogs.Stealth Auto
Tinted tails: I wet sanded using 1000, 1500, and 2000 grit wet sand paper in that order. I then used Meguiars Medium Cut and Swirl Remover in that order to polish them by hand. I then polished them again when I did my car with Swirl Remover on a DeWalt Variable Speed Polisher. Then while waxing my car I waxed them as well with Meguairs Hi-Tec Wax, I believe #26. It's carnauba with extra additives.
When its sunny the red and white shows throw a lot better it is very cloudy. The Running lights are on in the last pic.
Debadged: Nothing difficult here, peeled the trunk emblems off on a hot sunny day and the little bit of residue left came off with goo-gone. These are also pics of my taillights before they were wet sanded and polished.
