Hey guys haunt been on In a while. But I wanted to let you guys know I got my mark running. It was the battery thanks for the help. But here's the back news. My check engineering light comes on after running for awhile. I also noticed at times it doesn't want to accelerate and the only way I can do this is by raising the rpms. I just had the oil changed and the pvc valve replaced. Thanks for looking thanks

So you have to raise your rpms in order to accelerate? Your motor is :q:q:q:qed bro just leave the car on the side of the highway with the keys in it

Had a similar problem with my brakes, was having to slow down in order to come to a complete stop. :shifty:

Zack , guys are just giving you a ribbing because your post is not very good at asking the ?. Plus get codes read and list codes here and also don't drive car all the time with CEL on and not fix it.

Ok codes are harder to read with eec-4. I got the new reader that posts a code # not have to count flashes. Man I hated that.

You can search the way to check codes with a paper clip. You read the blinks of the CEL. Its kinda a pain. You can also buy the code reader that I mentioned from summit for like 25 dollars.

I found it as soon as I posted my bad. But I got the codes.. 33 26 and 34 I looked em up but I have No idea what they ment. You guys have alrdy helped my noobie self tons thanks

nope. mark viii's use 3 digit codes.

might it be 332 and 634?

332 (R,M) EGR did not open/respond during test or if memory code, did not open intermittantly - EVR or PFE

the computer opens the egr in lean cruise situations, like on the highway.
your egr valve is probably full of junk. mine was. and caused and intermittent check engine light.

How do I get the egr valve out? Mines buried by the throttle cable and I can't fInd or see the bolts that hold it in.
