Ray has been moved to another hospital. He is having problems digesting food and processing things. This is related to his diabetes. From my understanding the Doctors are positive about his prognosis. He is expected to be in the hospital for awhile yet.

I have already sent flowers on behalf of LVC (Cool ones too! Pic Below) If you would like to send flowers or a card or something - here is where:

Thanks Joey. I hope you spelled all 3157 members name right. How big was the card?

I sure did - and I paid for it with your Visa Card...

I talked to Ray - He is in good spirits. The long and short of it is that for some reason his stomach is not fully digesting food nor releasing any food to the intestines. He's undergoing more tests tomorrow.

Thanx Joey, for the flowers.........the truck was kool, and the nurses liked them. Made my stanky room smell better, albeit for a short time......LOL!

Thanx to all of you who expressed your concerns. I got out of the hospital yesterday. What I have is Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA). Like Joey said, it all had to due with my diabetes. My stomach was only processing 11% of the food that was ingested, and the rest was not which was causing me to vomit......3-4 times a day (depending on how much I ate, and how many times a day). This also caused me to have an ulcer just before my stomach in my esophagus and now causes me to have a bit of a sore throat.

Now all I have to do is keep my sugars in control and I should not have this problem again.....

Again, I am out of the hospital and I appreciate all your thoughts and prayers......I hope to see some of you at Carlisle this year. I prolly only be there for the day Saturday, but you never know.....without my car though....still not running....
:Bang

It's good to hear that you are doing better and out of the hospital, one of these i will make it to one of the meets and get to meet everyone.

Ray, Glad to see your out. Being in the hospital sucks, but we are all there sooner or later. :Beer

I nearly sent you a box of chocolates - figuring you could bribe the nurses with it

Ray!! Welcome back man glad you are doing better. :waving: :Beer :dancefool

Ray,

I'm glad you are feeling better. Please take this a a wake up call on your Diabetes. My father-in-law was diagnosed with Diabetes when he was 40 and he didn't listen to the doctors and tried (poorly) to manage it himself.

His kidneys failed at 55 and he's been on dialysis 3 times a week for 10 years. If that isn't miserable enough he's starting to lose toes at an alarming rate.

The man retired and sold his business for a cool million and has never spent a dime of it enjoying his retirement.

Diabetes can be managed. Best of luck to you.

Barry
