whats up everyone, im trying to find some rims for my mark viii and i found a set that have the universal 5 lug. seller says theyll fit all 5 lug cars but im kind of iffy on it. anyone know for sure?

Universal 5 lug? How does that work? Do they have more holes? Don't forget the rims may require spacers .. I could be wrong but something seems not right with this deal

Universal Fit means 10 holes are drilled for 2 lug patterns...4.25X5 usually aren't one of them because this pattern is special...I ran around town searching for used universal rims for my LS and also a friend's Crown Vic and No Luck....turned out I have to buy some New Single Patterned Wheels for 4.25X5 at the Wheel Shop (of course he had to call to other shops to see if they had some in stock)...Good Luck with the searching...but you can get it direct from where KustomKid mentioned

i think i know what your talking about, my rims have a ten holes in each rim, and i've seen them on a lot of other cars. not exactly sure how universial they are

Or get some sorry ass adapters that bolts on to your lugs giving them new lugs at a different pattern ($80 each I think) and they make your wheels sticks out from fender (FUGGGLY)...Don't do this...I'm begging

The biggest pita with universal bolt patterns are that the hubs don't fit the wheels correctly rendering them unbalancable. Unless you get a set of hub-centric rings, then you have to measure your hub & the wheel & get a properly sized set to fill the gap.

Mine are a universal 5 lug but they where pretty hard to find paid around 1700 with tires and dident have many options. So if i where you i would go to the local wheel shop and see what your options are and go from there.

i got my hub rings from discount tire i think they were $12 for the set. they make a world of difference

yeah but i dont have a pic of someone making a toyota logo outta rice
and a supercharded MR2 makes MADD BOOOOOOST YOOOO!!!! (when it runs, and it actually only does about 8-9 psi lol)

back on topic, ive seen the mulit holed rims, and a buddy of mine back in high school had some universal craigers there the holes were slotted  seemed to work on his old pontiac but i wouldn't trust them

yeah i kind of figured they wouldnt fit. a hub swap is kind of out of the question im trying to spend as little as possible here. anyone have a cheap set of rims/tires for sale?

Idk bout universal.. but dual bps are good.

Your 100% correct, hub swap is the way to go if your hard up for more styles and brands. What was the total cost for the hub swap shipped?

I desperately want to do one so I can put the Greg Weld skinnies and meats on my Mark but I have no conformation that the 15 inch wheels will not hit my stock brakes.
