I have been told that the air struts for the front are different from the 2 generation Marks. That 93 - 96 won't fit a 97/98. Is that true? I noticed arnott advertises them as 93 thru 98. all interchangeable Just curious.

Chickenviii is right! I actually have a first gen bag in my 98, personaly I like the second gen bags because they look cleaner and are lighter. You can use any year.

I out Gen IIs in my 96 Gen 1 - because they were cheaper.

I put a set of Gen II air struts in my '94 because the original shock part inside had 'bound' up. They still held air great though
So it should work either way, I looked at both pretty close while they were out and only noticed the solenoid location was over a bit...
