I need to do some major cleaning under hood and as I have been evaluating what needs to be repainted/repaired/replaced I looked over all the under hood decals and they are all in very shoddy condition. So what do you guys think, take them off? Leave the shoddy ones on? Try and get them reproduced?

Take the shabby ones off. Don't need 'em.

They have part numbers. Stuff like that most likely will still be available from ford. Usually they arent to unreasonably priced. usually.....

If you get some pictures of them I'll do the lettering up real nice in illustrator and send you the files. Then you can have someplace print them for you. Will also need the sizes of them.

I saved a picture of an underhood decal, a large one. The LMS cobra hood is red with a black decal. It's got the Cobra/Lincoln design with the words Mark VIII. Thought it might belong to k9t8m. Looks real nice.

These are off my 93 Mark.

Airbag sticker - on core support, pass side, beween hood latch and crash sensor bracket. Part# F00B-5400014-AA

Emission sticker - on hood, pass side of latch hole. Part# F3AE-9C485-JLM

Belt diagram - on hood, driver side of latch hole. Part# F3LE-19A286-AB

Found that on a search.

Clean the engine and get rid of them, if you really need a belt diagram just call me. spend the money on a good cleaner insted!:D

I was the same way a few years ago when I did my 85 T-Bird. I wanted the stock show appearance. I was able to acquire the belt and emission decals from Ford (even after 15 years) but I had to make the valve cover and date labels myself.

I have a Sniper Tuned decal, Protected by Amsoil decal, and a Cobrastar decal... all the decals I need lol...
