Ugh... More problems

Well for all of you who are following... I got the radiator in today but when taking it out I cracked the ring around the fan. Thinking that it would be ok I put it all together and back in... When the car heated up and the fan came on I heard a sound like the fan was going to fly apart. So I pulled the fan out and jb welded the crack. Well after it dried I put it back in and the same thing happened. So tomorrow Im off to the wrecking yard to look for a new one. Now my question is did the Thunderchicken and the Cougar use the same fan? And does anyone know what other Ford products used that fan? Im just trying broaden my choices to find one if the Marks that were there the last time are not now.

I took the upper hose off to get the fan out.

Another thing you can try is leaving the fan out and laying iton top of th motor and then plugging the power back to the fan run the a/c so the fan automacticly turns on. With the fan out and easier to see where the noise is should be able to see what's wrong.

i never broke a fan either what the hell did you do to it lol! they are built tough, you must have applied derek's brute force method to remove it.

The fan and plug I got from you jamie well I didn't need to replace the fan cause the clip may look broke cause of it having gap but it was only the pigtail connector that needed replaced cause the clip was broke. And I have no idea how that clip broke ! ! !

I reached in with my big hand and went to pull a 17 year stuck radiator and it cracked since I grabbed the fan not shroud.

Anyone have a fan for sale? Im having a hard time finding one here in the Valley. I have a few places I will try calling on Monday but Im not holding my breath.

I have one. Didnt really plan on selling it, but I dont really need it either. Yours if you want it. Think I paid like $40 for it a couple months ago. I can see what shipping it costs when I get back to Ohio on wednesday.
